The Right Mind

The Right Mind and Your Choice of Thoughts

When one tries to follow two thought systems, one can’t give full attention or respect to either . This becomes an even greater dilemma when the two thought systems are diametrically opposed to each other.

It gets even more confusing when these two opposing systems are trying to teach you what you are.

Let me clarify that last shocking statement. The core question you need to answer when you are looking to alter your way of thinking, and therefore choosing which thought system you will follow, is related to what you are.

Are you an organic mass of cells that somehow coalesced into a living human being through billions of years of random genetic dice-rolling? Or could you be an idea? A thought in the mind of the Universe, free to design your own destiny through your choice of thoughts and decisions?

Whatever you are, one point needs to be clear. How you perceive yourself is up to you. Even if you are not certain that you are or are not a body made up of cells, would it hurt if you were to think that you were an idea, free to do and be and achieve as you please with nothing but love in your mind as you interact with others who firmly believe they are bodies?

What I am trying to say is that your only real freedom is your freedom of decision. And the only decision you can make, every instant of every minute of every hour of every day, is whether to believe you are a body separated from everything else, or whether you are a thought in the mind of the Universe that is infinitely connected to every other thought instantaneously and eternally.

I have chosen to try to choose the latter as often as I can during my days here in the world. It is not easy to think of myself as an idea when everything in this world is trying to drag me back into a body 24 hours a day seven days a week. But I just keep reminding myself that it is my decision to make. I will choose the idea theory as often as I can, and I will build my business and my future using that thought system. Nobody else needs to know what or how I am thinking when I do this. And everything goes better and business is easier when I follow this simple choice as often as I can remember to do so.
